A proper word for the Wal-Mart-esque changes being made at a workplace

At more than one place I have worked now, I’ve witnessed the sort of transition where some new authority figure gets hired or transfers over, and their first priority is put their personal ‘stamp’ on the business to make it look like they’ve done something impressive. In my experience, this typically involves removing much of the unique character of the place and making everything uniform and devoid of personality. As an example, all handmade signs must be replaced with company branded or approved signage. It’s never just that, of course. They revise the dress code, they add binders full of new mandatory policies, and of course, the addition of a time clock or something similar to keep us worthless parasites in line, to the minute. Just to be clear, I am only talking about worksites that were functioning fine before and don’t need the big changes. I am not thinking of places where uniformity would be an improvement, like making sure all the mechanics have access to the same minimum tool set, or anything that would actually improve a job. Just the times when uniformity and change are implemented for their own sake and don’t actually help anything.
