I got a co-op offer last week for $60/h plus a housing stipend. I agreed to these terms verbally and was told HR would email me a formal offer. This was from the manager himself.
Just received the offer letter and the they dropped the salary from $60 to $55. When I told HR that the hiring manager and I had agreed on $60, I was told that pay wasn't up to the manager and is set my HR??
I'm afraid that if I push it I might lose the internship altogether. Is a verbal offer legally binding?
