i have an associates in social work, was going to get a bachelors in psych and a masters in social work, not anymore. for a social work job, a masters in social work, three years of experience (internships don't count), two years of an internship, for $16 an hour. just saw this posted on indeed because i was curious what jobs are out there right now. i wasted my money and life for some made up american dream, yeah i didn't expect to get rich off this career but i wanted to be comfortable financially. i'll stick with my coffeehouse job for 17$ an hour. i'll blow my brains out when i'm sick of this shit. fuck. america. fuck. the government. and fuck you, all the assholes that are gonna say “that's what you get for picking such a stupid job fucking rat” “what did you expect everyone knows social workers aren't rich” “haha basically majoring in gender studies why don't you studying IT” not every goddamn person wants to do IT, not everyone wants to be an accountant, not everyone wants to sell their soul to the army. i'm angry and want change. sorry these jobs DO matter and i deserve to not live in poverty, im a person.
