So I work with a staffing agency as a nurse and I have had multiple instances of not being paid and having to jump through hoops to get paid. Some of it was my fault in that I would forget to clock out after a 12 hour shift, which means I just dont get paid for the shift, even if I clocked in or clearly worked it. Well, my current assignment is over and I have no way to access my time clock program. I was yet again shorted a shift, despite not having called out and obviously not having my hospital call my agency to tell them I didnt show up. It would take a moron to think I didnt work the damn shift, considering I always clock in. The payroll specialist is yet again asking me to jump through hoops, but this time, I literally have no way of meeting the requirements because Im out of town. I'm about ready to contact the labor board because quite frankly…… not paying out a shift because one forgets to clock OUT even though they clocked IN is ridiculous. Just close the shift out at the normal time, not even trying to get any overtime pay. Should I continue to work with this person or just contact the board? It seems fishy that they cant just use basic deduction to realize I finished my shift, but here we are.
