Was discussing with my finance team the possibility of converting any hours of overtime into PTO instead. It would be at my discretion so if I chose I could keep the overtime payment of 1.5x my usual hourly rate. Or any overtime hours I’ve accrued for the week usually 3-8 hours a week I could bank into paid time off.
Obviously losing that .5 would suck but being able to take more vacations would be a game changer. Thoughts?
Edit: I nor any other employee have ever been denied a PTO request and we are able to use it for anything no questions asked. Staying home to play video games, hiking, hungover? Thanks for the heads up enjoy the day.
