I worked as the lead for a covid sanitation crew, pretty relaxed job all in all. Earlier this week I was called and told not to return because I had left shift early the day before. The reason I left? I was in such debilitating pain that I could barely walk. The manager that fired me has never met me and doesn't even work my shift, he was just mad that I've left early since being told not to.
I worked through a staffing agency so they technically didn't even need a reason to put me on the do not return list, but it really sucks. This was the first job that wasn't burning me out.
