I've always had jobs with absurdly strict policies, but I recently started a job that is kind of too lenient. People can call in all the time and do to the point of making it suck to work there. We are working short like every shift, but in the policy, it takes like 2 years of calling in for someone to actually get fired for it. People should be able to call in when they need to, but this is basically making a culture of calling in whenever you just don't want to work.
