A friend of mine works for a financial investment firm that offers paternity leave. Good, right?
Nope.
In order to qualify for the paternity leave, you must produce a paternity test showing that the child is in fact yours, before you get access to the time.
Once he yelled at HR for a while they said fine, just bring in the birth certificate so we can confirm your name is on it.
He said he would after his leave ended, and he started applying elsewhere in the meantime.
