I've been at a company for 5 years and been receiving positive performance reviews each of those years. Last year I was eligible for up to a 5% bonus. I also decided to look for other work at the start of this year. My last day (March 4th) I received an email stating that effective March 4th I would be receiving a full 5% bonus based on my performance in 2021. I never received the bonus and reached out to the companies HR department only to be told that I wasn't eligible for the bonus because I wasn't employed on the payout date (3/11/22). So I spend 5 years at a company and they nickle and dime me over 5 days of employment. Don't ever trust a corporation no matter how long you've been there. They'll always find a way to fuck you.
