I am in the final round for a job that seems decent- not much better than my current role, likely more money, and they can't commit to fully remote on a perm basis. It's likely I will receive an offer.
During that process, I was contacted by a much bigger company, in a tangential role that is a slight stretch for me, but not much. This company likely pays about the same if not a little more than the first job, but is fully remote forever. I am not sure I would receive an offer from them, but I'm going to try like hell.
Would it be an absolute career killer to accept a job offer but continue to go through the interview process with the target job – and jump ship if they were to offer me something? Again, I have low hopes the dream job would pick me, but I want to try.
Anyone else gone through this recently?
