Love this. One of the companies I work for (1099) doesn't have the tools available this week that we need to do our job so we get to take a $4/hour pay cut during our shifts while they resolve the issue!

ETA for explanation: I'm contracted at 2 rates. Say, tier 1 and tier 2. They don't have the tools available for me to do the tier 2 work during the tier 2 shifts I sign up for, so they say I must work in tier 1 and get tier 1 pay during that time (or I can cancel the shift.) I understand it, but it does absolutely nothing for me planning my work week.
