Today on a townhall at work my company had a Q&A session.
Several questions came in regarding cost of living adjustments to offset inflation.
One question in particular was asking management if we could trade in vacation days for their cash value to make ends meet.
HR stepped in and gave the following reasons why they would NOT:
- We want our employees to take all of their vacation to avoid burnout.
- We do not have enough money to pay out people's vacation.
This is a fortune 500 company where the CEO makes over $10 Million a year.
