Just found out my compay changed its policy to not pay out accrued vacation when leaving

… the same week I got an offer from my dream company for 70% more base salary. I want to leave in good terms. So I was thinking about putting my 2-weeks notice. Then, my teammate who just left told the entire team that the company’s policy changed and he forwent 80+ hours of vacation. I have over 40 hours. Now, I’m thinking… Do they deserve a 2-weeks notice? I really like my team but the company sucks. I would feel bad leaving my team behind because I lead some of the current projects we have. I’m also in the planning stage for new projects and they are relying on me. However, I do not hold the job title (lead/manager/senior) and there was never a clear path to get promoted no matter how many times I proved my worth and asked for a promotion. Last month I got a 4% increase because of my outstanding performance in the last two years. At the time I got the increase, inflation was at 6.2%. So, “Thanks for the pay cut”.

Anyway, what does everyone think?
