can they just make me reinterveiw for a job I have then tell me that because I’m to young for driving the vehicles I probably won’t be hired

So the title is a little more complicated than what it may be. I learned my boss is going to have the whole crew resubmit their resumes to reapply for the job ( Which is legal. It's usually for a debatable good/ bad reason.) The first big issue is I had to hear this second hand. He apparently told others that everyone knows this, and he didn't tell me. He then said that people who can't drive won't be hired. I'm in a tough spot for that because I'm 20 and I need to be 21 to drive. Why did they hire me if they knew I wasn't old enough to drive the vehicles. ( I also want to add that my job has more to it than driving. It's a sub section of a custodian at unnamed buisness. I'm not the only person on the crew they have a…

( I also want to add that my job has more to it than driving. It's a sub section of a custodian at unnamed buisness. I'm not the only person on the crew they have a total of 5 other people who can drive Wich is more than enough. Most of the time I'm sent to sub and currently I'm in a position that I have to fill in for till they can hire someone Wich has a whole nother can of worms. So I'm not without working. The driving part is moving surplus wich is minimal concern.)

He is also a known lier and I have multiple peices of evedence to prove it. And have presented a lot of it to my union rep.

He has done some stuff that he knows is harassment against me but I wasn't really able to get a case, all he got was a slap on the wrist. Wich obviously would make anybody mad. Now it seems like he is going to be discriminating against me for my age and maybe retailiate after that. Lucky we have a union rep but I have the problem is she tends to favor him. Depending on how this goes over, I might just put in my two weeks and go apply at my old job. I am curious though what do you all think?

I'm just more concerned I'll have to go back to my old job and be put back In what was more focus custodial and I'm not excited to do it but it pays decently (but less than what I currently make) plus I will be getting insurance (Wich is not as good as my current insurance.) It seems like a demotion to myself but if it saves my mental health its gonna be a promotion in my eyes.
