I live in California and have a medical Marijuana card and have been using medical Marijuana for over a year for anxiety and insomnia. I only smoke it after work, and have never smoked on the job site. I work at The Home Depot and have been for over a year
Recently I was involved in a minor forklift accident, I was completely sober but smoked the night before. For standard operation procedure, I was given an oral drug test. I informed my manager I am a medical Marijuana user and she told me the only way I could void the drug test is if I got a request for accommodation form filled out by my doctor. The only issue is, my doctor is federally funded and unable to sign off the reasonable accommodation as Marijuana has not been federally legalized.
My doctor can't fill the form out, and I am running out of time. I have till the end of the week to get it filled out before I am fired, I am currently on paid leave and really enjoy this job and want to keep it. My question to you is, do you know of any doctors, or any places where I can get this form signed by a licensed doctor in a short period of time. I am willing to spend almost any amount to get this, and would really like some help or advice on it.
