I'm thinking about putting my CDL to use and trying out the gig economy by registering as a driver with uship. I didn't do doordash because I had friends who got screwed by customers and the app and my car is way too old and beat up to take on passengers, but I could use my old van to make deliveries. I'd be especially good at delivering exotic animals because reptiles are my passion and the van is climate controlled. Those animals would definitely make it thre safely on my watch. It's a side gig for now, so I can be choosy until I see if I like it enough to pop for a dedicated box truck and take it full time. But here's my question: uship has the customer prepay and give the code to the driver at the end of the delivery. What if the customer refuses to give me the code so I can get paid? I don't want to donate time and expensive gas to this venture if I won't get paid!
TL/DR; Has anyone had trouble getting paid from uship.com? How was it resolved?
EDIT: corrected autocorrect.
