Why don’t employees who are experience explicit OSHA violations not report?

I get posting here for feedback on how to go about certain issues (and I love this subreddit and the camaraderie) but when someone brings up a serious issue and is told they should report it, it seems like that advice goes ignored. No one loves complaining more than me, so I’m certainly not saying people shouldn’t vent just to vent, but it makes me mad that so many are working through inhumane conditions and I just want to know that the violations are being reported. So, why do people not report to OSHA? Or am I just not seeing the OP responses that say they are reporting?
