I'm a junior in college working at my first internship. The internship is at a startup and I found it through a family friend. Being the naive person I worked for them despite not receiving any offer letter nor payment agreement. It's been a couple weeks now and I still havent received a offer letter or a payment agreement. I talked to some friends about it and they told me that I should definitely have something formally written down. I asked her about it today and she sounded annoyed that I would even ask her since she's already told me how much she'd be paying me before. I told her that I just wanted something formally written down. Is it weird that I asked for this? Who's in the right here?
