Use your benefits

Someone on my team who’s given notice, was lamenting that he’d not bothered going to the doctor or dentist even though he’d been paying “all these years.” The context was that he was checking exactly when his healthcare benefits would be cut off because he had a dentist appointment the next week. He’s a young guy, healthy, just isn’t thinking about this stuff. Anyway I know lots of redditors on here are making plans to quit their jobs; maybe half the posts here are “I quit!” If you’re planning to get out but you have benefits, make sure you’re up to date on your doctor, optometrist, and dentist visits. You’ve put the money in already, and even if you have a better position lined up there’s usually a 60-day waiting period for benefits to kick in.
