When will teachers fight back?

I'm not a teacher but I read about the bs they put up with in Anglophone countries from parents, admin, student behaviour etc. This torrent of abuse is swept under the rug with appeals to “it's a vocation” and “pLeAsE dOn't bE a tEaChEr” responses whenever anyone points out glaring problems. I'm just wondering when the martyr complex dies and teachers walk out on their jobs, because if parents et al presume to know how to do the job better, they should be put in the driver's seat and see how they get on. I know there have been strikes before but there needs to be some kind of mass walk out until this culture of gaslighting and abuse ends.
