Project manager told the guy whose over my division she was gonna have a “meeting” with me.

So the title says most of it. I'm an electrician for a small business and recently a new project manager for new construction got hired. Well there are three divisions at this company New construction, Service/Remodel, and apartments. I joined at a really turbulent time for the company in which pretty much no “good” people were getting hired.(because the owner is stingy) Well I usually have apartments to go and fix up but last week was a bit different. Every single Division lead says that I'm a great worker and that they always try to request me. Then owner noticed this an decided to give me a major bump in responsibility and pay. When I don't have apartments I usually get sent to a service call or put on new construction but when I get apartments I can leave at my discretion. I called out on Tuesday last week and…

Every single Division lead says that I'm a great worker and that they always try to request me. Then owner noticed this an decided to give me a major bump in responsibility and pay. When I don't have apartments I usually get sent to a service call or put on new construction but when I get apartments I can leave at my discretion. I called out on Tuesday last week and before that on Friday I had to go pick a friend up from the airport so I left at lunch. The project manager did not like that at all. She's one of those female boomers that grew up in the trades and is convinced that no one has a hard life.
Me and her didn't really get along at the beginning because I knew that she was a control freak and I don't really play that game. Good leader dont need to shove it in your face that they are a leader. Ive followed people who were worthy of my loyalty and she is not it. I'm really efficient at working alone I can also work in a group no problem but I'm most efficient going lone wolf.

Because of the Callout on Tuesday and before that Friday I left early from a job that was completed she wants to pull me into a meeting. I know that the her, the owner, my manager, the office lady are gonna be doing a 4 on 1 “intervention” because Ive seen this dumb shit before.

I was wondering if there is any point to even attending the meeting. imp making 24/hr with the company and my position is pretty solidified. I know for a fact though that there are other companies hiring at 22/hr with better benefits and perks. It just seems like a zero sum game game to me if i switch companies.

I've honestly been pretty upset because of this because I work really hard for this company. I literally do anything they ask on the job. No questions. There is no “hard” work for me. There is just work. Nobody at the company holds this philosophy. Im honestly getting sick of the mid upper management because none of these stupid fucks are in the field and they constantly wanna squeeze us to save money even though we are at full capacity. They are under the impression that the job market will go back to way things were before and that they will get rid of all the people that they gave raises.

i really just need to know what to say at the meeting. I already have a couple ideas about how when I call out i was supposed to be there that day but i also did not get paid for it so it evens out. I just need to put these people in their place. unfortunately it takes my brain forever to wind up to get into an argumentive state. I fear that they will try and throw shackles on me and micro manage me.
