I'm regretting quitting but trying to keep remembering the reasons. I get 10 days off of combined pto/sick leave. I get holidays off with no pay. Between sick days and needing pto for doctor appointments I will never get a vacation. I refuse to work around 90 year olds when I'm sick because I don't want to get them sick. There is no one to cover for me so I can't take a vacation unpaid.
I don't use the other “benefits” at my job because they are shit.
I LOVE the residents and my job is pretty fun. I have been regretting my decision off and on this week. I almost feel embarrassed that my main reason is that I don't get enough time off. It feels lazy.
