This is a bit of a rant and also a question.
I have two jobs, one of which is at a hardware store who I won’t name but is a big company. I work 2 days a week there and I almost never get the schedule. My manager was emailing it to us but he stopped. How am I supposed to know when I’m in?? I work Sunday/Monday and the schedules have been coming out on SATURDAY! One day before the new week starts! How am I supposed to figure out my shifts like that? It’s Saturday today and I literally just got my new schedule and I’m contemplating not going in tomorrow. You can’t expect your workers to know the schedule if they aren’t in which is why you email it! I’ve been getting the schedules less than 24hrs before I’m scheduled! How hard is it to make a schedule?? They literally have a computer program that does it for them it should take approximately 20 minutes to make one so what’s so hard? We’re supposed to get the schedules two weeks in advance. I try my best to ask my coworkers but if the schedule doesn’t come out until Saturday they can’t help. Ugh I’m just frustrated with this. Is it bad if I don’t go to my shift tomorrow and call in? I’ve brought up this issue before and nothings been fixed.
