Bait and Switch wfh

I apply to wfh jobs here and there because, and I cannot stress this enough, I love working from home. Other people have other reasons (kids, gas, etc). For me, is the freedom to get up when I want, switch my computer on and get on with my work. As long as I meet deadlines, nobody cares if I work at 2pm or 2am. Or if I am in my pajamas. I do contract work, which means some months I am really busy, and some months I am not. But I enjoy the time off (hiking, etc). Anyway, I apply for jobs here and there, mostly temporary or contract work. Everything I apply is wfh. Lately I had a few interviews. Everything goes well on interview 1, 2. Cue in interview no. 3 and they are asking me to move. Uhm, red flag. Why do I need to move? Oh…

Why are companies advertising as wfh when they want people in the office? If you are to be remote only 1-3 months due to pandemic, state that on your listing.

Otherwise seems like they are wasting their time and mine.

What is the point?
