Overheard conversation

I’m at a photoshooot at a car dealership, and (from the other room) I can hear the office assistant woman actively berating an employee for not wanting to come in on days off. And he stated that other people have taken days off. And she promptly reminded him that when the employees with more seniority were on vacation, he didn’t come in on his day off because he had “a basketball game or some stupid shit like that!” I really hate the corporate mentality. When exactly are employers going to learn to treat their employees with any respect at all? It drives me crazy how much people like that just expect employees to dedicate their life and free time to them. As if that’s the only thing that’s in someone’s life. endrant
