I posted this on the ask New Orleans subreddit but I figure it could not hurt to put it here. I do this experiment where I travel to places and try to help. Anything from helping someone paint their porch in exchange of a beer to helping an artist create something given my construction background. Read it and if you live in New Orleans pass it around. I hope to find some cool project on my visit.
I'm looking to help someone doing something positive with my labor. I don't have any money so I can't help that way. I travel on a budget and I will be staying at a hostel close to mid city. So keep that in mind for my transportation limitations. Long life construction worker and restaurant worker if that helps but mainly wanting to give a hand in something out of the ordinary. Some things I done in other places are helping in a farm with animal transportation, painted a youth center, helped build some metal structures for a muralist, taught people about wine, food or beer, organized a soccer camp for kids and help in a ton of music festivals installing stages or building temporary buildings. Just respond here or send me a message. I'm not a young kid so don't try to come and scam me I don't have any money you can take. In almost 40 years I seen it all and I'm not a good target because I don't have any possessions. If you are getting monetary value out of my labor I'll demand payment if you are truly helping (not nonprofits with fat cat leadership boards) a meal or a beer is more that enough. This is an life long experiment that we can live life being nice to each other and leave capitalism to the side sometimes so if I smell any capitalistic vultures I'll walk.
