If you are hiring two people for the same position, but one has 5-10 more years of experience, would you offer them the same salary since it’s the same job or would you offer them different salaries due to difference in experience?
Edit: both have experience in different fields that can offset each other and help one another. They can contribute to the same title in different ways.
The concern would be that if they start talking about their salaries with each other in 6 months or so, that one may get upset and want to leave.
