Calling in sick to work

I have to call in sick to work today and it’s ridiculous how incredibly anxious I feel about doing this. I never ever call in sick for my jobs, and I usually push through. However, I feel so sick and also sick with anxiety because I have a million things happening this week, and especially with COVID I don’t know why I’m so scared to put myself first. I don’t know if this is the right place to post this, I just think it’s so strange how retail workers like me are still petrified putting themselves first over their menial jobs, and how there’s so much stigma surrounding this. how do I stop feeling so insanely guilty about this? I need to call in soon and I’m going to throw up from anxiety.
