The company I work for sent out anonymous (hahahah sure) surveys to everyone last week, but I don't think upper management got the answers they wanted!
We were joking about the surveys in our department chat, and pretty much everyone mentioned that training is hit or miss. I had NO training when I started..l It's better now, except I'm pretty sure the person they promoted to trainer only has her job because she's the CEO's (unconfirmed) side chick, so we try to work around her when new hires come in and have anyone else train them. My cats are better trainers.
Another common theme was that the department managers and supervisors are great and supportive, but upper management is horrible, micromanaging, and only contacts you when they have something negative to say. The CEO provides different information to different people, doesn't bother to actually tell the manager when policy changes, and the then literally yells at you when he's disappointed.
The VP is AWOL, and the third-in-command is asking a sales manager how to do payroll for the entire company and onboard new employees…
Oh yeah, and we're all underpaid.
So what did the CEO do? He opened the magical CEO book of What the Fuckery, remembered that they can't throw a pizza party because we work remotely, so sent out $25 Starbucks gift cards instead to boost morale.
I foresee a max exodus soon. Pretty sure we're all job hunting… Except that trainer I mentioned! She wants to be manager and I want to see that dumpster fire when it happens!
