Tomorrow is going to be my last day at the job I’m leaving. I have received a form to fill out for my exit interview. I’ve written a 4 page statement about all the problems I’ve had with this company over the past 2 years.
Some of the reasons why I’m leaving are:
Making less after 10 years with the company than my subordinates who were hired last year.
Other salaried employees get their insurance premiums paid by the company, but I was never offered that.
I was told by the owner last year that I would get an annual bonus calculated as a percentage of the profits from last year’s sales. They didn’t pay the bonus until the end of the first quarter and it was less than a third of what it should have been according to last year sales, but the owner told me he wasn’t obligated to give me a bonus at all and I should be grateful for the gift from the company.
Do you all think I should hand in this statement with the exit interview form, or do you think the company might try to retaliate against me or see it as me threatening a lawsuit?
