I’m in high school and I want to spend my summer having fun, going to concerts, hanging out with friends, making bad decisions to laugh at. But, I need to work and that pisses me off so much. I’ve applied to near 30 jobs already and I’ve only had one interview.
The whole process is so frustrating.
I applied to work at one job, got a rejection, then four minutes later I got an “invitation to apply” from the same goddamn company.
At first I was gonna be picky and wasn’t going to work for less than $13 an hour and not more than 15 miles away, but that might not be an option anymore and it’s so disheartening.
Plus, I’m under 18 so that severely limits where I can work. I’m so close to going back to my old job which I hated.
I’ve looked into freelance and for the type of work I want to do I have no idea how to create a portfolio and have no actual qualifications other than just thinking I’m really good at it.
