So with many restaurants automatically adding a tip option when you pay, I'd usually give them 10 or 15% even though I knew these people were probably making minimum wage. It usually wasn't a large amount, since I'm usually getting a to-go order or it's straight up fast food. I asked a guy at one of the fast food places if they actually see any the tips I'm giving, and he got quiet, looked around and shook his head no.
