I swear these people have no common sense and there is no limits to the insanity.
My wife used to work for Bay Path college's off-branch The American Women's college, that is AN ONLINE COLLEGE. When COVID started subsiding they asked everyone back into office on a rotating schedule, my wife did it for maybe a few weeks before she said fuck that, and found a job paying her $25K/y more that is fully remote.
Well we found out that they could not fill my wife's position so they were forced to make it a remote position. Because the new position is remote they were forced to offer remote work for everyone so now every has a choice where to work as it should be.
But the kicker is my wife's friend who is remote went on vacation while working. She said she actually got more work done because she felt guilty. Somehow the college found out and she got in trouble. They want her home when working remotely.
