I’ve worked with kids for the past 5 years and I can’t do it anymore. I love the kids and I used to love my job. But how can I live off these wages?? I started off this year wanting to become a teacher, which would involve me going back to school, and now I can’t get far away enough from the school system. I work as an aide at a school and I can’t do it anymore.
We’re expected to do so much more than we are trained/qualified to do, and get absolutely no appreciation. This year we got 2 days PTO. For the entire year. And no they do not roll over.
Ugh.
