Ignoring a company that wouldn’t disclose salary range

I recently started putting my resume out to test the waters, been feeling underpaid with recent inflation and want to see the reaction from employers. I applied to one company through LinkedIn and was offered an initial interview. I accepted and we had a introductory phone call. During the call I asked for salary range being offered as it wasn’t in the job posting. The person replied that they could not give a salary estimate. This person then explains that as part of the hiring process I am to complete a project (approximately a full days worth of work) submit that then do a challenge live with them to make sure it was indeed me who did the work. I am estimating this is around 10 hours of my personal time. I am just disappointed with this hiring process. I think it should be a law to disclose the salary…
