'm talking to a business owner about some potential opportunity at his company. The company looks really good, it's in an industry I'm interested in and a position I would like.
I sent my CV but he's now asking for the salaries of my previous roles and my current role. I don't want to tell him my current salary because it's quite low and I don't want him thinking he can pay me that as i took a big party cut to take the current job (I thought it was a good opportunity but the career change want what I wanted in the end)
Should I tell him straight? Or lie and bump the salary up a bit
