So I asked a senior manager to share some information with me to help me prepare a budget that they insisted on for resources I've been fighting for for the last 5 months. The senior manager in question referred me to a direct subordinate of theirs for the information. This subordinate happens to currently be on leave till late next week with an out of office message referring any urgent matters back to the senior manager….
Just for clarity's sake the information I requested is something that the senior manager should know or easily have on hand but it is not “public” knowledge as such for example: Resourcing costs.
