I am in a niche accounting / consulting field & after starting with my firm about 8 months ago HATE it. Boring, tedious, and a hot mess of disorganization. I got a new job. Gave them 2 weeks notice & the first week is gone. They have piled MORE / NEW work on me.
I really want to simply ship my computer back this weekend & be done. Don’t need or want the reference would be embarrassed to be affiliated with them & no one has heard of them in a good way.
My issue: I was taught this is “wrong” to do…. But is it really?
They do pay me well, it’s just not what they promised me it would be & I don’t want to take on MORE work, contact clients, etc in my last week of work.
