And if you're into labor rights, you may want to look at that.
I'm sure everyone is already tired of hearing about Roe v. Wade. I'm tired of it, and I'm directly affected. Why is it important to discuss it in the context of workers rights? Because Alito consistently cited precident that was directly related to women being property. Working class folks, we really don't want that, because we can all imagine where that road leads in conjunction with workers rights.
We need to organize, and we need to do it fast. We need to get as many states as possible to address the following in their constitutions:
- Every person has the right to bodily autonomy
- Every citizen has the right to vote regardless of criminal history, income level or fixed address status
- Corporations are not people and can not provide financial support to political campaigns
- Elected officials can not make money in industries they are responsible for regulating
If we don't do something now, we will lose our window. Its clear that our government is uncomfortable with the power that has been built in this country's working classes. They're buying all of the houses and they're trying to stop our kids from getting an adequate education.
We need to build momentum in state government to push this into the federal constitution or we will never escape corporate rule and we will become a neo-feudal society.
