Does anything a job requires you to do on your time off count as “work”?

I live in Canada and work in a residential care setting. Over the past year my company has required employees to rapid test twice a week on specific days and sign into the online portal and report the results of their tests on the portal. Not only is this portal and the designated reporting area readable to any employees who are in your wing (or has higher access) so this does feel like lack of privacy to personal medical information. The main thing that REALLY gets me is I have very strong work boundaries where if I'm not on the clock, I don't identify as an employee or do employee related tasks and my company requires us to still do the test, sign into their portal if I'm at home on my personal time unpaid. The fact I need to blur the lines between my personal and work life is aggravating and also that I need to see the amount of notifications and slight bits of information of daily operations while navigating to the area to post my results.

Thoughts on this and anyone familiar with the legality/legal loopholes around residential care and covid being a loophole?
