Yeah no shit bitch! You pay us to deal with assholes all day long!
I work at a massage therapy place and we just got a new general manager (after literal months of having no manager what so ever because the owner got his panties in a twist and fired our awesome GM bri for requesting 2 weeks off for a vacation but that’s another rant). I had worked 1 on 1 with S (our new GM) a few times and she seemed pretty cool.
Then the other day she had a team meeting with all of us front desk workers (which she was 30 minutes late for even though everyone else was on time). She goes on this big long speech that basically boils down to “do your jobs better” which is fair, she did make some good points that all of us could be doing better.
But then she fucking said “ (Owner) and I don’t pay you guys to be bored. I don’t want to be getting texts saying ‘hey I’m bored what should I work on’”
Are you kidding me?!
I make $0.75 above colorado minimum wage and you really just said that. They are paying me to deal with the rich entitled assholes who can afford $100+ massages on a regular basis. That’s it. And quite frankly I should be getting paid way more to deal with assholes.
If S wants any of us to go above and beyond we are gonna need a SERIOUS pay raise.
