I understand security. Two factor authentication is a neat way to help protect business assets. For some reason today, however, setting up my personal phone to take on-call messages and for MFA on all the company's apps really made me despise all of these companies relying on my cell phone to protect their digital assets. It's my phone, and I get that the paycheck given to me pays for it, but I don't want to let your company use my phone to get a hold of me after hours or install apps to protect your data. If you want to play like a full sized company, give me a phone that can protect my logins to your systems – stop expecting me to do this on my phone because “everybody has a phone” and “it's not like it's intrusive.” It's your data. Sorry for the rant. I think forcing me to install an on-call app on my phone (in addition to the authenticator) sent me over the edge today.
