I've loved the people I've worked with, I've loved most our regular customers, and corporate makes me hate my job. To continue our employment, all restaurant workers are required to complete quarterly trainings. This year's second quartlery training includes gaslighting food workers into dismissing guests' concerns about public health and food safety issues observed in their restaurants. This makes me feel sick. It's the same toxic dynamic as my family of origin and I can't stick around for it.
VISUAL DESCRIPTION:
Picture of a computer monitor with browser tab labeled “The Spice Hub”, Chipote's new training platform. The all-caps red-colored headline reads, “PEST ISSUES ARE MORE DAMAGING THAN EVER.” The paragraph in standard case & black font reads as follows, “Pests always present a major risk to the safety of our food. But right now, people are overly sensitive when it coes to public health and food safety. This means guests are aware of cleanliness now more than ever. It increases the potentially damaging effect of pest issues inside — or outside — a restaurant. Pest can lead to poor health department and EcoSure scores. They can also lead to a shutdown of your restaurant. Pests can quickly gain public attention and damage Chipotle's reputation.” The paragraph's last sentence in red-font read, “That's why any level of pest activity is completely unacceptable.”
Beneath that are three flashcards for employees to pick the proper percent. The flashcards read…
