PTO and Boomers (rant)

I’m sure this has been ranted about before, but what the hell is the deal with PTO and why is it not the same across the board? The fact that, just because some boomer started their “career” 30+ years ago when they only had the workload of one person, they are entitled to 6 weeks PTO. But people who have to ‘job hop’ in order to get raises or younger people who are just starting off have to somehow make 2 or less weeks of PTO last through a whole year; also for the next 10 or 15 years before getting bumped up another measly week? And the latter group is doing the workload of 2+ workers while the boomer refusing to retire is coasting through workdays… makes absolutely NO sense. ​ also, they get to choose all the premium vacation time bc of seniority so once all those 6…

also, they get to choose all the premium vacation time bc of seniority so once all those 6 weeks of PTO are chosen, good luck getting any good summer weeks or days off around christmas to spend with your young family..
