I got injured last Friday and I was told by a PA on Saturday to go forward with workmans comp because my injuries appeared work related. She did not give me any forms because that walk-in doesn't handle workman's comp claims.
I took off work because I don't want my injuries to become worse or permanent, so I'm without work.
It took a while of calling HR for me to get my claim number, then I had to call and call again to get information on who my adjuster is.
I spoke to my adjuster, who said they'd make an appointment for me to be evaluated, but for right now the case is put on hold.
I was told I won't be compensated for my time lost until I can be evaluated to determine if my injuries are workrelated.
Should I go to the ER for imaging to speed this along? I'm already a week without pay and have very limited use of my arms.
I feel like this has purposely been dragged along. I was very prompt, but HR has not been.
