The other day I woke up to my pet in serious condition having a hard time moving and seeming very lethargic. I knew she needed special drops from the store. I went to my work and explained the seriousness of the situation and asked to be excused for a few hours. My work has stated that they were too short on staff. I had an hour and 20 minutes of time saved up. I explained that I could use that time and if I came back late I could be let go for going negative time. They had no problem with this. My pet has been there for me through the 3 rehousings and mental health struggles of life. The fact that my work was comfortable with my pet passing so I could work makes me feel like a number more than anything. Who cares about your employees mental health nowadays?
