If you haven’t read it or haven’t read it recently, read The Grapes of Wrath

All I remembered of it from the past is that it was just a book about poor farmers during the Great Depression. But holy shit is it ever relatable to the labour world of today. Corporate greed and monopolies driving wages ever down. People forgetting how it is to be treated like a person and those that do think they’re people are big trouble for employers. Cops enforcing the virtual serfdom and the people led to believe that unions are a problem. Might not have been relatable if you had to read it in high school 20 years ago, but it’s surprising how it is now.
