I’ve heard tax the rich rhetoric but seriously something needs to be done about pro athletes pay. The shit is ridiculous.
People work in fast food, grocery stores, gas stations, construction and have to pull teeth to get better pay. Even doctors (literal human mechanics) make 6 figures AND have a shit ton of schooling to pay.
But Lebron makes $41,000,000 a year while being a “non essential” worker (ode to Covina 19). Do fans not realize those “heroes” of theirs are LAUGHING at them everytime they come to watch a game?
A quick thought experiment:
All grocery stores shut down for a week what happens?
The NBA Finals get cancelled for abrupt pay reductions what happens?
Sports athletes are one of the biggest things wrong with this country. Not “lazy” people (who happen to work two full time jobs that contribute to day to day operations of society).
