This is why I hate working due. I'm working at a veterinary clinic 4 days a week making $20 an hour which isnt as much as it seems since I live in an area where my rent for a studio apartment is 1.2k woth no utilities included. 4 days a week is enough but i seriously have to budget, you can look in my post history if your curious but i essential have $8 left over each month.
They hired me before this one other girl. Shes 23 and still lives with her parents, I'm 19 and fully independent. Shes been working on the front desk for 2 months straight and STILL asking questions because shes highkey dumb af. My third week i was allowed to start drawing blood on animals because i picked up everything so quick.
Just like 5 minutes ago my coworker who handles the scheduling comes up to me saying that theyre dropping me down to 3 days a week so they can train the other girl more and she needed to know my decision asap because shes going to set up the june work schedule soon. And im like well wtf june is in a week and this is my only job so youre gonna have to keep scheduling me for 4 days a week until I find a second job. So she was like well yeah i still have to know soon. I was supposed to talk to you about it last month but I “forgot”
Like seriously employers suck. If they drop me down next week I'm gonna have to take out a loan to support myself and it already took me 7 months to this job because no one in a state thats over 70% wants to hire a black teenager regardless of my experience.
