This happened back in December 2021, but I remember my manager asking us (his workers) to start a few minutes early to be a “team player,” to help out if it gets busy… thing is when I asked if we'd get paid for the 5-10mins early start, I was told no. I get paid from my scheduled time and starting early is just to be a “team player,” From then on I made sure to step foot in my workplace a minute to spare from my start time to avoid getting asked to start early.
